The Wellington first flew in 1936 and entered service with the RAF in 1938 as a medium bomber and anti-submarine aircraft

On the back of the shirt we have printed an illustration of the Rolls Royce Merlin

but all production was halted and airframes and engines were destroyed which eventually led to the demise of Avro Canada

From 1953 three prototypes were built
